This morning I woke up at 5:30am to a text message - Jeff's county cancelled school for today. He was in the shower, so I poked my head into the bathroom and told him he was cancelled. "For what?!" "I have no idea...." I checked my email and realized that the university was closed as well. Still had no idea why. Did we miss something? I never thought I'd sleep through the apocalypse...
Then I looked out the window. Apparently, we completely missed the fact that there was a snow storm coming our way. A big, heavy, fat snow storm. Well damn.
The university doesn't care, but this is Jeff's last snow day before they start hacking away at summer vacation. There are two more storms coming this week, apparently. This should be fun! At least this is snowman snow this time and not fluffy ice crystals and sub zero temps.
Be on the look out for snow baby pictures later this afternoon! I told Charlie if he pooped on the potty we could go build a snowman.....and he did. For the first time ever. Looks like this kid has a powerful motivation to play in the snow!
